Rare Imperial Amethyst Carnival Glass Six Sided Candlestick Holder Pair C1910
Imperial Amethyst Carnival Glass Six Sided Candlestick Holder Pair. Pair of carnival glass candlestick holders. These candlestick holders are Imperials Six Sided pattern. This pattern features six hobstars around the body of the holder with alternating plain and file panels at the base. This pattern was produced in carnival glass in 1910.
These candlestick holders do not have the Imperial mark. The base glass color for this pair is amethyst, and the iridescence shows blue, purple, gold, and green. Each of the candlestick holders stands 7 1/2 tall.
The top measures 1 7/8" diameter, and the base measures 3 3/4" diameter. One of the candlesticks has a small flake style chip on the underside of the pattern at the top and can be seen in photo #9. It is not easily seen from the side, and really can only be seen when you hold it at an angle. The other holder is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks. These candlestick holders are shown on page 252 of the book "Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass" by "Mike Carwile". The book states that these are very hard to come by in any color except marigold. Please contact me with any questions you may have. This does not include weekends and holidays.
