STUNNING & RARE ANTIQUE DEEP CRANBERRY FLASHED FRENCH BACCARAT GLASS LUSTERS, LUSTRES, CANDLESTICK CANDLE HOLDERS. GRACED WITH TWENTY BRILLIANT NOTCHED. Offered is an exquisite pair of Antique French Baccarat Deep Cranberry Flashed on Clear Glass Candlestick Lusters dating from the late 1800's to early 1900's. If you are looking for Fabulous & Rare fantasy decorative pieces from a long gone era, look no more. Here are a Magnificent Pair of French Pressed Art Glass Candelabra made by Baccarat, but unmarked, in the Medallion and Tulip Style with Hand Painted White Floral Designs and Gold Enamel trim.

Gold Enameling appears on top scalloped/tulip shaped candles sockets, bobeches (prism holders), bulbous stems and on the raised oval cameos surrounding the round beaded bases. Each Candlestick holds 10 hand-cut and faceted crystal spear prisms.

They are in very good condition considering their decades of age despite some wear to their gold enamel and fading/wear of cranberry flashing in some areas. There are small chips around some of the pin holes on the inside of both bobeches (photo 4, enlarge bottom photo) which may be from the glass manufacturing process but are not visible unless one looks closely. Minor chips, consistent with age, around bottom borders of the center bobeche holes which are not visible after bobeches are placed on candlestick bases. The 20 faceted shiny Crystal Spear Prisms (Photo 9) are all of similar shape & size and have nips, side and tip chips (Photo 10 shows examples of these prism chips) but are nevertheless in overall wonderful display condition as shown. These Magnificent French Candlesticks measure approximately 12-1/8" high x 5-1/4" wide at their bases.
