Simon Pearce Studio Art Glass PAIR Retired Stratton Hurricane Candle Holders EXC. Pearce opened his first glass blowing workshop in Kilkenny, Ireland in 1977. In 1981 he renovated a historic mill in Quechee, Vermont and moved the company's operation to the US. A second facility in Windsor, VT was built in 1983, and a third in Mtn Lake Park, MD in 1999.

These striking hurricane candle holders were produced as part of Pearce's "Stratton" line which was introduced in 2008. The pieces are beautifully executed in their famed lead-free glass which shows excellent clarity and lovely tone quality.

The Stratton line features a striking air twist stem which is beautifully executed on these two pieces. The hurricanes measure 8 5/8" high, 4" across the top rim and 4 ¼ wide at the foot. The base shows the characteristic four prong pontil mark and is engraved with the "Simon Pearce" script signature. Both are in excellent condition with no damage or noted wear.
