16 Salviati Murano Venetian Glass 3 Dolphin Candlesticks Yellow Gold Flecks
They have been created with triple rods of twisted glass fused together to create a 16 tall and elegant pair. The connectors are decorated with 3 applied figural dolphins in clear glass with gold leaf inclusions encircling the base. The quilted optic rib feet and bobeches add to the complexity and beauty. These candlesticks measure 6" diameter x 16" tall. Typical to these delicate creations, there are some light losses. One candlestick has what appears to be a heat crack to the bobeche, two dolphins with missing snouts missing tails. The other candlestick only shows one tail missing - all of the above described are pictured and do not take away from the amazing beauty of these candlesticks and is mentioned for accuracy. The take away is with this type of glass and 130 years of use, they will show signs of wear but itis not unusual for Salviati glass.
